I remember when I was a kid we would play “I spy”. The friend who was “it” would look around and choose something that the other friend had to guess.
He’d say something like, “I spy something that starts with a b.”
The friends would guess, “Is it the Blue sky?”
“No.”
“Oh, oh, the Beach ball?!”
“No.”
“I know, it’s the Basketball hoop!!!”
“Yep, you got it… your turn, you’re it!”
As my kids were growing up, I had a friend that taught me how to play “God Spy.”
God Spy….
We would look for God…..
“Do you see God? See Him in the clouds?!”
“Oh, Oh, I see Him. Look! There’s God in that flower!”
The bible says in Psalm 19:
1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.[a]
4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.
As the psalmist says, God is quite easy to see in the heavens and in his creation. We saw Him and His handiwork in the changing of the leaves as we visited North Carolina this past week.
The reds, the oranges, the yellows! It was glorious….

I spy God in my children’s laughter and their ability to see the beautiful in “every day” life experiences that I take for granted.
