In my quest to keep my blog simple and helpful to you – I’d like to ask you the same question I asked myself this morning as I journalled.
At the end of the day what will make you feel as though you’ve used this day well?
In our current state of constantly responding to the beeps and dings that capture our attention – we often give up our own peace of mind.
So today, I’d like you to stop and think. What would satisfy you today? The trick is not thinking past bedtime. You can’t go into tomorrow. Only what can be dealt with today.
I dare you!
Do any of the following satisfy your soul – for today/what’s left of this day?
- Reach out to someone you love
- Spend some time being mindful and present. Say kind words to yourself. Thank God for His blessings.
- Exercise
- Prepare for a task
- Eat Healthy
- Create a plan that will help you – and is doable
Take a minute and write your list. Remember to make it reasonable.
Journaling is a wonderful way to be mindful and present. It doesn’t have to be complicated. And you can throw out the paper after you write. Though time is limited for all of us, taking a few minutes to be mindful and feed your soul is wise.
Today take some time to nourish YOU!
I’d love to hear how it goes – but I’d rather you spend the time investing in you – so you can be even more present for others.
I’m blessed by you!

Every day I nourish me with exercise, clean eating, journaling and being kind to myself while leaving a big margin to talk to strangers. That really makes my day. Just the other day I had the best conversation with a stranger about peanut butter that erupted into belly aching laughter.
My phone is on vibrate 24/7 which means no constant responding to bells and dings unless its literally right next to me. Most times it’s in another room.
Off to do a headstand, stretching, then spend time with the person who means the most to me: Jesus.

Thanks for sharing Yvonne!! So many of the things that nourish you are also important to me. It sounds like you make them a priority every day. I am inspired!

Today I’m exercising and eating healthy. It’s Spring break and I’m tackling a closet that’s been haunting me and maybe my office.

I loved your post. It sort of jolted me when one of your suggestions was to say something kind to yourself. It never occurred to me in a thousand years to do that. It isn’t easy but I’m going to try. It’s such a healthy suggestion!

Good for you Monica!

I’m on vacation this week, so this task is easy :). I went to bed at 8 the last two nights, and slept in until 5:45. It was lovely. I’m also birdwatching and taking photos and getting lots of exercise (they don’t call birdwatching a sport for nothing!).
Char says
That sounds Heavenly Anita!!! I hope you enjoyed your vacation to the fullest!!!!

I want to shut down the computer and turn off the phone and be more present with my husband and granddaughter who will be visiting tonight. She is almost 20 and growing up so fast!

What a great question. And, I believe my list is quite similar to yours!
